Announcing Victoria Station

We are delighted to announce that our next production will be Harold Pinter’s Victoria Station. Directed by the talented Tony Eccles, this macabre sketch portrays the intense and surreal dialogue on a London night between a minicab controller and a driver.

We welcome back Geoff Pugh, who plays the Controller, and Lorcan O’Mahony who plays the Driver.

We have always been keen to support local talent and provide different opportunities for those involved in theatre. In this case, Tony approached us with a play he would love to produce and direct and we were only too happy to assist with using Parodos to achieve this.

This production is produced as part of MADF – Manx Amateur Drama Federation Easter Festival of Plays and tickets can be purchased now from VillaGaiety

Extra Tickets Released

We are ecstatic to announce that The Merchant of Venice is now completely SOLD OUT!

With 4 days to go until we open we must thank VillaGaiety for trusting us with their space, Ravenscroft Group for their continuing support of our little local theatre company, our cast and crew and of course you the theatre going community.

We have had a number of enquires about releasing more tickets. We want to ensure a comfortable and intimate show taking into account the potential to combine audiences in the case of poor weather.

Next week we shall assess the weather. If it appears unlikely that we would have to postpone a performance we shall consider releasing more tickets for each show.

The Merchant of Venice

You’ve waited patiently… so here’s the announcement and we’re beyond excited.

Parodos Theatre Company in association with VillaGaiety and supported by Ravenscroft Group and Manx Radio present an open air theatre experience of William Shakespeare’s classic, The Merchant of Venice.

A tale of court battles, revenge and friendship brought outdoors for the first time after the incredibly popular Much Ado About Nothing and The Monkey’s Paw.

The performances will take place, for the first time, in the Villa Marina Gardens with audiences invited to embrace the outdoors and bring along rugs, blankets and chairs to enjoy the late summer evening on the grass. Designated areas will be in place for wheelchair users, and an inclusive, relaxed performance will take place on the afternoon of Saturday 9th September at 2pm.
